Biography

Phillip B. Williams is a Chicago, Ill., native and currently a visiting professor in English at Bennington College. Thief in the Interior won the 2017 Kate Tufts Discovery Award and a 2017 Lambda Literary Award. Williams was a finalist for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature (Poetry) and the Thom Gunn Award from the Publishing Triangle. He received a 2017 Whiting Award, a 2013 Ruth Lilly Fellowship, and a Kenyon Review Writers Workshop fellowship. He is the co-editor-in-chief of the online journal Vinyl.
