Biography

Pamela Newkirk is an award-winning journalist whose articles have been published in New York Newsday, The New York Times, and other publications. Spectacle was named one of the Best Books of 2015 by NPR, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Boston Globe, and The Root. It won an NAACP Image Award. She is editor of Letters from Black America and A Love No Less: More Than Two Centuries of African American Love Letters and is author of Within the Veil: Black Journalists, White Media, which won the National Press Club Award for Media Criticism.
