Biography

Gerald HorneĀ is the John J. and Rebecca Moores Professor of African American History at the University of Houston. He is the author of more than two dozen books, including Race to Revolution, The Counter-Revolution of 1776, andĀ Negro Comrades of the Crown. He received his PhD in history from Columbia University, his JD from the University of California, Berkeley, and his BA from Princeton University.
